Bleep!! It's Supernaturally!!

Synopsis:

Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

Review:

I loved this book!! I had recently read Paranormalcy and I found Kiersten White's humor, very entertaining. I have recently been looking at all her blog posts and vlogs, and you could hear her humor throughout the whole book.

The plot was interesting. She changed it up from Paranormalcy which was a good thing. The book kept me entertained throughout the whole story and kept me immersed in the story.

Okay, lets start with Evie. She's the same Evie as in Paranormalcy, but a little more scatter brained. With Raquel coming back into her life, and new paranormals around town, who all seem to be watching her, she's a little paranoid. Plus she has an annoying little pest bothering her the whole time and making things difficult with Lend. She's still obsessed with lockers though!! That made my day!!

Then there's Lend, he's not really around a whole lot. Though when he is around, he's usually jealous. He feels very protective of Evie and doesn't like the fact that she is working with Raquel again, and blowing off her friends to work. Plus the fact that the person who is moving her around to all the bag and tag's is a teenage boy around Evie's again who can show up wherever and whenever he wanted.

This menace I keep mentioning is named Jack. He is new to the agency and is a human who can open faerie doors! What?! I know! That's unheard of!!! He is a menace to society, or well Evie's life. He is a little scatter brained and tends to do whatever the heck he wants!! That makes Lend a little jealous!!

I loved this book!! Kiersten White's writing is amazingly amazing!! (Yes that is my thing!!) I give it 59 out of 59 Tacos!! Yes a 100% liking!! It is worth it to read the first book and then continue on to Supernaturally!!!

Twisted Review!!

Summary:
It’s been a year since the torturous notes from A stopped and the mystery of Alison DiLaurentis’s disappearance was finally put to rest. Now seniors in high school, Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily are older, but they’re not any wiser. The Pretty Little Liars have more secrets than ever - twisted secrets that could destroy the perfect lives they’ve worked so hard to rebuild.

Aria’s jealous of her boyfriend’s new exchange student. Spencer’s getting a little too cozy with her soon-to-be-stepbrother. Hanna’s one scandalous photo away from ruining her dad’s Senate campaign. And Emily will do anything to get a swim scholarship.

Worst of all: Last spring break in Jamaica, they did something unforgivable. The girls are desperate to forget that fateful night, but they should know better than anyone that all secrets wash ashore … eventually. ~~ Taken from Goodreads.com

Review:
I, like most other fans, thought the series were over. We were shocked into disbelief at how the last book ended and thought it was the easiest and perfect way to end the series. But Miss Shepard had other ideas. She was plotting more ways to bring the Pretty Little Liars back to life, and she did just that.

Like every other of her books, it was a quick read. A very enjoyable read, that I sat down, open the book, and 30 minutes later was on page 100. I truly did like the book, it kept me guessing and when I thought I had it all figured it, she threw in another plot twist and had me right back to the drawing board.

The plot was solid throughout the whole book. It kept true to the other Pretty Little Liar books, where they get a message from the mysterious A and then they freak out and try to decipher it. Which they barely ever do! As always A messes up their life, and its quite freaky.

The synopsis is a bit over dramatic. The way they describe the book is a bit exaggerated. Of course it made me want to read it even more. To learn the latest scandal in the Liars life and why A is back.

I give this book a 39 out of 59 tacos. It was okay, but I think she should stopped the books with the last one. The story was really supposed to be over and it seemed like she was just keeping the story going. That in mind, I still enjoyed the book and I like seeing the girls back in action.

Today In The Literary World

Guess what today is! So many things in the literary world.

First and foremost, it's Harry Potter's 31st birthday! It's been twenty years since Hagrid knocked down that door and told him that he's a wizard. Happy, happy memories. It's also Ms. Rowling's birthday, so a big shout out to her. She was the one that created this, after all.

My cake looks nothing like this.

Pottermore clues started today! There will be clues on the website (www.pottermore.com) to enter the site early. They will be about one of the seven books, and only a certain number of people can enter early each day. If you didn't get there fast enough today, it's okay. There will be more clues until August 6th for the beta site. After that you'll just have to wait until October like the rest of the world.

Today is also Meg Cabot day, as proclaimed by the governor of Bloomington, Indiana, where Ms. Cabot grew up.

So get out your HP movies and Meg Cabot books, because that's the way I'll be spending today. And eating the giant Hogwarts Express cake I made yesterday.

Happy 31st everyone!
