Hurricane Author Interview and Giveaway!!!

Well hello there wonderful followers! Both Anne and I have our birthday this week and we thought it would be fun to do a giveaway! You see, Jenna Lynn Duncan asked me to do a Interview and host a giveaway of her book Hurricane. I was honored, of course,  and I thought that this could be great for the blog!! Then I talked to Anne, and asked her if we should do a giveaway for our birthday's... She said that it would be awesome. Our first ever giveaway and author interview!!
Thank you everyone who has been following us, and thanks to our very first followers ever, you hold a special place in our hearts. Every time another would follow us, I would text Anne freaking out... She got tired of it after the first 10 :).

Hurricane- A YA Paranormal Romance/ Urban Fantasy Novel

I anxiously looked around, my heart palpitating, just in time to see an alligator slink into the green algae covered water that was on either side of us. I swallowed hard, and my heart raced even faster. Alligators were a different type of predator—the one thing I was afraid of. Now I was on my own personal swamp tour. What if my kidnappers left me in the middle of a swamp with five of them creeping up on me? I’ve had that nightmare before and—oh no, if my dreams really are a sign of the future—I couldn’t breathe now.

Adriana couldn’t decide what was worse—that Hurricane Katrina was heading for New Orleans, or that she might not survive her kidnapping to see its potential effects. She had trusted Hayden, even fallen for him, and now he and his brother Luke were taking her deeper and deeper into the Bayou. Why had two ofher classmates, the mysterious Boudreaux brothers, kidnapped her? Why had Adriana’s dreams started predicting the future? Most importantly, would she make it out of the Bayou alive…
Link to my Review

How did you discover your passion for writing?
I have always loved to read and write. When I was younger, I would write short stories and poetry. Hurricane is was my first shot at a novel.

Do you write with music playing in the background? If so,what songs?
Because of where I write, I don’t generally play music. But I like the idea of playlists for novels and have one for Hurricane.
Who were your favorite authors/ books growing up? Favorites now?
I don’t like to pick favourites; there are so many good authors out there. A good book I read this year was The Keepers by Monique O’Connor James. She is also an awesome person.
What books are in your to be read pile right now?
Embrace and Enticed by Jessica Shirvington. They are not available in the US yet but one of my Aussie fans sent it to me!
How do you like to spend your free time away from the writing process?
Most of my time is spent with my family. That is really important to me.
What was the most challenging part to write about your book? The easiest?
The easiest part was the kidnapping scene; it was one of the first things I wrote. The storyline all pieced together nicely but I suppose leading up to that point and making sure all the dates were correct was challenging.
Top 5 reasons to read Hurricane?
-A portion goes to charity
-It has not one but two gorgeous heroes
-It is set in New Orleans
-The plot (and creatures) are different than other paranormal books
-It has real ghost stories and voodoo!
Are there any upcoming projects you would like us to know about?
I am currently working on the second book in the series and have plans for a third. In addition, I am almost finished with another YA novel. I have several more outlines for YA novels that I will pick up after Iam finished with these two.
