Die For Me

Synopsis:

My life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything.
Suddenly, my sister, Georgia, and I were orphans. We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent.
Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen.
Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human. He has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies . . . immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.
While I'm fighting to piece together the remnants of my life, can I risk putting my heart—as well as my life and my family's—in jeopardy for a chance at love?

Review:

"Would you risk your life for love?" This question is on the cover of the book, and it’s defiantly answered! My.Oh.My! This book was amazing, just the right amount of paranormal fiction and love for me! A job well done Amy Plum!
Let’s start with Kate! She has just lost her parents and to say she’s heart-broken is an understatement! She is crushed and really doesn’t know what to do with herself. At the beginning of the book, she’s this scared girl who doesn’t really know what to do with herself! Yet, she meets an interesting person and she blossoms into this grownup 17 year old who can take down anything that stands in her way!
Then there’s Vincent! OHMIGOSH!! Yes my screaming fan girl comes out! He is everything you would want in a guy all wrapped up in one. Handsome, chivalrous, sexy, and a little or maybe a lot, dangerous! He is this mysterious French man Kate meets in a little cafe that Kate likes. He immediately draws her attention and then boom! She gets thrown into his world!
I absolutely love this book! It’s another one that is going onto my shelf to read again! I hope there will be a sequel so we can continue on with the story! It is worth it to read and if you’re looking for a laugh, or just some romance, then this is the book for you!! Enjoy!!

Tempest Rising

Tempest Maguire wants nothing more than to surf the killer waves near her California home; continue her steady relationship with her boyfriend, Mark; and take care of her brothers and surfer dad. But Tempest is half mermaid, and as her seventeenth birthday approaches, she will have to decide whether to remain on land or give herself to the ocean like her mother. The pull of the water becomes as insistent as her attraction to Kai, a gorgeous surfer whose uncanny abilities hint at an otherworldly identity as well. And when Tempest does finally give in to the water's temptation and enters a fantastical underwater world, she finds that a larger destiny awaits her-and that the entire ocean's future hangs in the balance.

Review!
What can I say? This book is amazing! I loved almost every part of it! Except for the parts that almost made me cry! I laughed, I cried, and I enjoyed this book enough to read it in under one day! With school, that's a tough feat!

With every good book I've read lately they have had an amazingly strong female lead. The trend keeps going with Tempest. With her mom abandoning her and her family when she was 10, she had to step up and take care of her two little brothers, so she doesn't let anyone baby her. She can take care of herself, easily. Tempest has a passion for surfing that might have to do with her being half of a mermaid! I'm loving all the mermaid books lately!!

Then there's Kona and Mark. Two of Tempest's interesting guy friends. Mark is the jealous boyfriend type. He always treats his girl right, but is a little possessive, and even more so when Kona comes to town. Kona on the other hand is the strong mysterious new guy who can ride the waves like a god and immediately grabs every ones attention. Especially Tempest.

Between the two super sexy male leads, a strong independent female lead, tear-jerking emotions, and mermaids what isn't there to like?! The book kept me immersed in it 100% of the time and I couldn't put this book down! Tempest Rising is the book to read if your looking for a new book!

Forgive My Fins

Lily Sanderson has a secret, and it's not that she has a huge crush on gorgeous swimming god Brody Bennett, who makes her heart beat flipper-fast. Unrequited love is hard enough when you're a normal teenage girl, but when you're half human, half mermaid, like Lily, there's no such thing as a simple crush.
Lily's mermaid identity is a secret that can't get out, since she's not just any mermaid—she's a Thalassinian princess. When Lily found out three years ago that her mother was actually a human, she finally realized why she didn't feel quite at home in Thalassinia, and she's been living on land and going to Seaview High School ever since, hoping to find where she truly belongs. Sure, land has its problems—like her obnoxious biker-boy neighbor, Quince Fletcher—but it has that one major perk: Brody. The problem is, mermaids aren't really the casual dating type—the instant they "bond," it's for life.
When Lily's attempt to win Brody's love leads to a tsunami-sized case of mistaken identity, she is in for a tidal wave of relationship drama, and she finds out, quick as a tailfin flick, that happily ever after never sails quite as smoothly as you planned.

Review!

I just finished Forgive My Fins by Tera Lynn Childs, and can I say amazing!!?! The book was humorous, witty, and everything you want in a love story. I couldn't put this book down. I started it Saturday and read it all day today.

I love Quince, he was witty, hilarious, and the boy every girl should fall for. Except for the peeping Tom issue he has... He always kept Lily on her toes when he was around and brought out the hidden person in her. Lily, of course, had some issues with him. He tormented her all the time for the three years that she was on land.

Lily, on the other hand I had some issues with. I get it, your first love, all i you want is for that "perfect" guy to notice you. Love makes you blind, and that's exactly what it did to Lily. She didn't notice Quince at all, except when he was tormenting her. The constant Brody obsession going on in Lily's mind and her life was a little annoying but all in all an amazing book!!

I even painted my toes a nice Sea Greenish Blue in honor of the book! I cannot wait to see where the mysterious epilogue takes us in the next book Fins are Forever coming June 28th! Save the date!!

Chills and Thrills Tour

So Sunday was one of those fabulous days. The Thrills and Chills book tour stopped in BookPeople, my all time favorite haunt! Included among these authors were Mari Mancusi, Tera Lynn Childs, Sophie Jordan, Jordan Dane, Jennifer Archer, Tracy Deebs, and Lara Chapman, who was at her first EVER author event!
Jordan Dane explains her newest book, In The Arms Of Stone Angels

See, first time EVER.
They all talked about their newest novels, and judging by the size of the stack of books I have to read, they did a fantastic job. I bought In The Arms Of Stone Angels by Jordan Dane, Firelight by Sophie Jordan, and Through Her Eyes by Jennifer Archer. Sam bought other books including Tempest Rising by Tracy Deebs and Forgive My Fins by Tera Lynn Childs. All of these books seemed so good, we couldn't resist.  We'll get reviews on them all to you soon!

Among the conversation was eBooks, publishing, and what they can write through, which believe me, is a lot. These authors were funny, interesting, and I can't wait to read their books!
